Ongoing Projects. Making it work
IEG have a number of ongoing projects, some "live" and some in development and due to begin in earnest any time now. Featured below are a selection of these
Acquisition / ownership of Fast Pyrolysis Process, Innovative Energy Global, Ltd.
In 2006 IEG inked an agreement with Biomass Investment Group, Florida, USA to jointly develop commercially viable bio-fuel, through a fast pyrolysis patent technology for conversion of biomass to bio-fuel. The Bio-fuel is produced through a patent E-grass crop. The project has reached a successful test bench scale and bio-fuel is currently being produced at higher efficiency than the designed process. In the month of July '07, based on the successful results, IEG has acquired ownership rights of the technology. Innovative Global Energy will be granting license to different sponsors / developers for deployment of this technology for producing bio-fuel and electricity.
E-grass Projects
I- 130 MW Power Project in Florida, USA
A 130 MW close-loop, horizontally integrated combined cycle power project which will produce clean electricity from Bio-fuel / E-grass, in central Florida, USA. The PPA has already signed with Progressive Energy, Florida.
II- 130 MW power project based on E-grass, Sicily, Italy
A 130 MW close-loop, horizontally integrated combined cycle power project which will produce clean electricity from Bio-fuel / E-grass. This is a fast track project in biomass sector for which Letter of Intent has been issued by the Government of Sicily. The process of acquiring land is under way. We have already engaged consultants to conduct site survey, soil testing, and pilot farming. The process of permitting and authorization is under way. The project has a feed-in-tariff and there is no requirement of a PPA.
III- 65 MW power project based on E-grass, Campania, Italy
A 65 MW close-loop, horizontally integrated combined cycle power project which will produce clean electricity from Bio-fuel / E-grass. This is also a fast track project in biomass sector for which Letter of Intent has been issued by the Government of Campania. The process of acquiring land is under way. We have already engaged consultants to conduct site survey, soil testing, and pilot farming. The process of permitting and authorization is under way. The project has a feed-in-tariff and there is no requirement of a PPA.
PROJECTS UNDER DEVELOPMENT
Our associate company, Biomass Investment Group, USA, has signed MOU/LOI for following E-Grass based energy projects
1. Honduras
- 130 x 2 MW based on E-grass as fuel.
2. Jamaica
- 125 MW power project and develop approx 75,000 acres of land for E-grass.
3. Mexico
- In advance stage of finalizing 100,000 acres of biomass farm for E-grass.
Projects under going analysis
1. Pakistan: 150 MW closed loop biomass project.
2. China: 300 MW closed loop biomass project.
3. Thailand: 150 MW closed loop biomass project.
Innovative Wind Power
IWP has been established to design, test, certify, commission and commercially deploy state of the art wind farm turbines.
Based out of Germany, IWP manufactures mid-sized wind turbine Falcon 1.25 MW highly versatile.
This turbine reflects the specific optimum point between cost of energy and logistic and service life-time cost.
First year's total production has been sold off for next year to projects in Turkey and Germany.
Bioethanol
IEG has stepped in as a sponsoring equity investor in Bioethanol Company.
Wind Eagle
The project is being set up under Government of Pakistan's renewable energy policy wherein the government among other things, is guaranteeing wind risk. Allocation of land is in the final stage and the full work with regard to site survey, soil testing, application for petition for generation license and tariff will commence thereafter.
Air Charter
Air Charter has been registered as an air cargo company in Peru. Air Charter has already acquired two cargo planes and has the options to add more planes to its fleet.
